The descendant detail of Robert H Woonacott was submitted by Richard D Woonacott. Robert H was born in England and came to Michigan, USA at the age of eleven in 1919, sailing from Southampton on the ship "Lapland" arriving in New York 3 November 1919. In the 1920 Census he was recorded as living with his uncle and aunt, Richard and Susan.
They had been upset by the family back in England and changed the surname from Wonnacott to Woonacott. Samuel James Wonnacott (Woonacott) another uncle also used the name Woonacott during Census registration but other records show Wonacott or Wonnacott.
